It’s Monday! And while it’s certainly not our favourite day of the week, things are getting a bit sweeter thanks in part to this new mix, coming to us directly from GRiMESKEE! 

Last week we featured bass duo Daega Sound, representing Vancouver’s dubstep scene and this week we take it straight across the country to GRiMESKEE! Closely aligned with one of Toronto’s biggest evenings, Zeds Dead and the Killabits famed Bassmentality night at Wrongbar, GRiMESKEE is a familiar name to those who regular get out in the TO community. Often opening for the big names that roll through as part of night, 12th Planet, Flinch, Camo&Krooked and Kode9 among others, GRiMESKEE has become well known for heating things up with his deep vibes that channel some of the heaviest UK inspired dubstep alongside hip hop and trap.

Podcast #16 will take you on a bass laiden journey, growing with intensity in each track, GRiMESKEE builds with a variety of lumbering basslines and hard hitting subs. Big vocal drops throughout from familiar voices like Rick Ross and Foreign Beggars break up the bass as things, GRiMESKEE finishes off with a nice little dose of the heavy dubstep before wrapping things up with A$ton Matthews.

Featured on mixes for Bassmentality, Scion and Pyramid Scheme Clothing, GRiMESKEE has dished up the next in our podcast series in between his preparations for his 1st Canadian tour. Before he takes off, you can catch him as he finishes off the last of Bassmentality for 2012 at their Boxing Day party.
